Art on Elm Artist Booths
Artists may rent a 10 ft x 10 ft booth space for $50 to sell their work. Read below for additional booth information before applying. You will need to create an account with Entrythingy or login to an existing account.


Art on Elm 2017 Juried Exhibition
Artists may submit up to 3 works for inclusion in the juried exhibition. Exhibition will be be previewed at the Splash on the Color fundraiser party on Friday, April 7 and displayed free during Art on Elm. Read below for additional information about the juried exhibition.

Event Schedule for Artists in Juried Exhibition:

Friday, April 7 
10 am-5 pm – Exhibition set up
6:30-8:30 pm – Preview Party (exhibiting artists get free entry to the ticketed event)

Saturday, April 8
10 am-5 pm – Main Event
5 pm-7 pm – Gather artwork

Juried Exhibition Information

  • Local: Must work in Texas to submit to this exhibition, Waco-area artists especially encouraged.
  • Quantity: Three (3) pieces may be submitted per artist. They may not all be selected for the exhibition, but all will be considered.
  • Medium: Art on Elm Avenue is open to all artists. Work can be in any fine art or fine craft medium and must be original.
    • Prints exhibited by artists in the digital or printmaking categories must be limited editions and properly signed and numbered.
    • Artists must define “limited edition” and must disclose their process to the buyer.
    • Reproductions of 2D work must be clearly labeled “Reproduction.”
    • Photographs must be original and signed by the artist.
    • No loose-leaf paper accepted.
    • Ceramic works must be handmade by the artist. If multiple pieces of the same design are displayed, each must be signed.
  • Dimensions: For 2-dimensional artwork there is a combined maximum width of 3.5 feet (40 inches) wide. Any 3-dimensional artwork submitted will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis and accepted based on space availability.
  •  Theme: Community!

EXHIBITION ARTIST SALES

Art on Elm Avenue does not take responsibility for any artwork accepted into this exhibition.

  • Exhibiting artists are not required to offer their work for sale. For those artists who wish to offer their piece(s) for sale: no commission on sales will be charged. We encourage a donation to Cultural Arts of Waco to help keep Art on Elm Avenue free to the public and to help further revitalization efforts.
  • The artist will be responsible for handling the sale of their own piece(s). The price will be listed on your name plate along with how the buyer can contact you.
  • The artist must own all the copyrights to all designs and images offered for sale.

INSTALLATION AND TEARDOWN

  • Installation will take place the day before the event, Friday, April 7. Artists are able to install anytime between 10 am until 5 pm.
  • Artists are responsible for installing their own work. Instructions will be provided to artists of accepted artwork based on the most appropriate display type. For 2D work each piece should already be wired and ready to hang. For 3D work, please inform us of any special requirements your installment would call for when you submit your work.
  • Artists will be provided with a name plate and do not need to bring one of your own. If accepted, you will receive a proof of your name plate(s) before it is printed.
  • Artists have limited access to electricity at no charge, please indicate if your work need electricity in your submission.
  • Teardown will take place immediately after the event. Please arrange to have your work taken down and off of the premises no later than 7 pm.

EVENT RULES

Limited security will be present on the grounds; however, Art on Elm Avenue and organizers are not responsible for stolen or damaged property, or accident or injury.

  • Artists must comply with all staff and uniformed security regarding site safety regulations.
  • Artists selected for the juried exhibition are not required to be present during the Saturday event. Artists must arrange to have their work to be taken down between 5 and 7 pm on Saturday.
  • Art on Elm Avenue reserves the right to ask that work infringing the copyright of others be removed.

HOW TO SUBMIT

The submission period is now over. For Art on Elm we use Entrythingy, which has a central page for all open artist calls. If you have used Entrythingy before for any call, you can login with your existing account.

Note: Submitted digital images of current work must be high resolution, 300 dpi in JPG, PNG or GIF format. PLEASE USE A PLAIN BACKGROUND. Avoid textured and patterned backgrounds. Do not show the frame for any art work. We need to see your work clearly for print and website applications and promotions. Work that differs significantly from the submitted images or does not meet the event’s criteria will be removed from the event.

BOOTH REGULATIONS

  • There is a $50 fee for setting up a booth, and vendors will be approved based upon space availability and relevance to the event.
  • Submit one entry form per booth. Please designate one person responsible for the fees.
  • Booth size and end requests will be honored where possible. Each Outdoor Space is 10′ x 10′.
  • All materials sold must be created by the person, group, or organization applying.
  • Each approved vendor will be assigned to a space, and will be responsible for their own booth materials and setup. Tables and chairs will not be provided.
  • A tent is suggested, as there will be limited shade and we are hoping for a sunny day. Merchants must abide by safety measures to insure the booth/tent structure is adequately secure in case of bad weather or strong winds. Bring weights to secure tent; no stakes/ropes allowed. Merchants will not have access to electricity.
  • No more than TWO (2) artists will be allowed per one booth space.
  • Artists or a representative must be present during the entire event.
  • Artists are not allowed to sell merchandise away from assigned booth space.

ARTIST SALES

  • Photographs must be original and signed by the artist.
  • The artist must own all the copyrights to all designs and images offered for sale.

  • Raffles, drawings and/or solicited donations are strictly prohibited.
  • Artists may only sell items or conduct activities that have been specifically approved in writing.
  • All fees are nonrefundable if accepted.
  • Please keep items family appropriate.

Note: If you would like to submit image(s) of specific items that you will be selling, please feel free to do so. Use a digital camera at the highest quality setting to photograph your merchandise. Photo(s) may be used for promotional purposes.
